REFLECTION: MYLINE

I think MyLine is one of the types of distance learning. MyLine is also important to evaluate the level of knowledge, creativity and opinion of the student. From that, I will contribute my idea or put a comment about some topic or issues that have been discuss in MyLine. It is also can improve my computer skill when we must use the computer to serve and finished it through online. Basically, I will share experience, knowledge or information to other student. Online forum also is a good way to interact with other student in the university and I can get information about many topics of my interest through the online forum. I want to improve myself by sharing opinions with others. Besides that, it helps me to improve the language. I get the chance to correct my mistakes while looking at other writing. The most important thing is MyLine has provided students with a rich interaction experience in English.

REFLECTION: BLOG TASK

Reaction paper gives me an opportunity to give a comment or opinion about myself and the activity in Career Search class.  By using the blog it’s easy for me to submit the report or task. I think this blog will help me to get bonus mark. It also is a medium to express myself, response or everything that are related with this subject. The reflection we have to write is consists of career planning, MyLine, curricular vitae, digital portfolio, oral portfolio, application letter and interview session. From this reflection, I can know what the benefits and I can recall what I have learn in our class. Nowadays, this blog are important with the changes in the technology and give opportunity to me to learn more about online learning which is using the internet.  Lastly, I’m feeling very happy by joining this subject and I can set in my memories. Thanks to all my friends and Sir Ghazali. 

REFLECTION: ORAL PORTFOLIO

Oral portfolio can help me to improve my confident level and communication skills. I must make frequent an eye contact with the audience and can attract them. Besides that, a tone of voice must be clear to ensure the audience can hear and give full attention for my presentation. During the presentation, I must keep control my own features, smile, and have an opening statements by spontaneous in delivering oral presentation. It also give me a chance to see the lack of skills and performance when present my portfolio. The important things in oral portfolio are my ability to communicate, focusing on my though, demonstrating my enthusiasm, suitable emotion and facial expression must be nice. I also must make a preparation before attend for oral presentation. From that, I have learns a lot of skills and techniques to be success in my presentation in the next semester and in the future.

REFLECTION: DIGITAL PORTFOLIO

I will get many benefit of having my own portfolio. By having it, I would become aware of my own effort of learning because a portfolio normally requires me to do self-reflection. Other than that, I would make a conscious effort of indentifying the reasons or factor that have led me to get A. besides that, I will develop awareness of my own learning style or strategy and this awareness would eventually become a guide to effective learning. In creating portfolio I can put my profile, co-curricular activities, entire bachelor’s degree course and working experience. A portfolio also can be medium to demonstrate the development or improvement of my abilities, skills and personality.  It also can show my achievement during study. The most important thing in preparing a portfolio is the technique that I use to present in the class. I must make a creative portfolio to attract the audiences’ attention.

REFLECTION: INTERVIEW SESSION

An interview session affords me opportunity to express my interest, experience and passions in person. Interview also serves the dual purpose of providing me with a clear picture of life in the company or organization. It enables me to gain an understanding of the type of question that would encounter in an in depth formal interview and practice the articulation of answers. Besides that, it appears to have provided information about the nature of the organization. Performing well at the interview session is one of the most important steps in successfully securing a job. It also will build confidence in my performance. I can practice interview techniques and to experience being an interview in a small group setting. The interview session also give me a chance to prepare question and anticipation of question, improve interview performance and spending time polishing interpersonal skill. Comprehensive, formal interview represent a formidable challenge for many fresh graduate student. So, pre-planning for interview is important.  

REFLECTION: APPLICATION LETTER

Job application letter will introduce my resume or CV when applying for a job interview. It is also a medium for me to convince the employer that I meet the requirement of the job offered. I also can show an effort that why I are suitable for the job. Besides that, I can put my experience as student or working experience. I also know about suitable language that must be used when writing the application letter. It is must be formal, convincing and sound confident. The expressions that I used in writing give the reader an impression of me. These can show my level of confident, self-esteem, attitude towards the job and vision. I must use an appropriate verb which is not over confident or over proud with me. I also can know about the format when writing the application letter and must be aware about typing error, usage of grammar, spelling, and other mistakes.
